Abstract The article examines the structural and dynamic characteristics and development results of the mineral resource complex of the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD) and its key sub-sectors during the crisis period. Based on expert, analytical and statistical information, the estimates for 2023 were updated and trends characterizing the dynamics of three quarters of 2024 were shown. It was confirmed that the basic dynamics in the mineral resources complex FEFD were determined mainly by the fundamental factors of its development (production structure, investment activity, reproduction of the mineral resource base). Investment activity was analyzed and new features of investment processes in the mineral resource complex of the macroregion were identified, reflecting elements of, firstly, diversification and, secondly, the formation of intersectoral approaches in long-term territorial planning.
