Abstract | Based on statistical, analytical and expert information, the article presents monitoring of population income, wages, pensions, the cost of a fixed set of goods and services, purchasing power, available resources, expenses and consumption of households in the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD) as a whole and in the context of its eleven constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The study period: the first half of 2024, including the first and second quarters depending on the availability of officially published statistical information as of August 2024. It is shown that the nominal increase in population income, formed mainly due to the growth of wages, is gradually decreasing against the background of inflation, and consumer behavior of the population demonstrates inflationary expectations, increasing spending on food and decreasing spending on non-food goods and services, refusing to borrow funds and use savings. |
