Abstract The article deals with specific features of the phenomenon of «indigenous science» in the network of research organizations that carry out economic research within the northern periphery of Russian Far East. Particular attention is paid to the status of the network of scientific communications and the formulation of proposals that could contribute to improving their effectiveness.
