Abstract The investment activity in the mineral sector of the Far East and its contribution to the dynamics of investment processes in the macroregion are investigated. Examples of the contribution of particular projects to the economy of the Far Eastern regions of the Russian Federation under standard and preferential regimes for their implementation are shown. The implantation efficiency of measures of state investment promotion in mineral and raw materials projects is estimated. The revealed contradictions confirmed the actuality of research in this area at the theoretical and methodological and practical levels.
