| Abstract | The article presents the econometric assessment results of the impact of individual income groups and a number of other factors on the savings behavior of the Russian regions population over the period 2002–2024. The method of quantile regression with fixed effects is used. The dependent variable was the calculated indicator – the regional savings index. The results showed that wages have the greatest direct impact on saving behavior, but group «other incomes» (including «hidden» ones, money transfers, etc.) have the greatest opposite effect. In most cases, the influence of various factors is more noticeable in the regions of the first quantiles with a lower value of the savings index. |
