Abstract | Based on operational statistical, analytical and expert information, an analysis of the economic and social situation is carried out in the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD) in the first half of 2025 compared to 2023–2024. It was shown that while maintaining unstable dynamics and conflicting development trends in certain sectors of the economy of severe crisis consequences in the macroeconomic context, there is no case. The basic type of economic activity produces positive dynamics, but monthly significant amplitude fluctuations in the growth rate currently do not allow the formation of a full-fledged growth trend. The dynamics of industrial production was characterized by increased volatility with a visible tendency to reduce release. The formation of growth rates in the industry of the FEFD had a positive effect and was exerted by the increase in volumes in the mining sector. In the construction complex, after a decrease in production in 2024, positive shifts were noted. At the same time, a reduction in the growth rate of housing input, not observed since 2021, was recorded. The slowdown in investment in fixed assets continues. A moderate increase in prices on the background of a rigid monetary policy is noted. The expansion of consumer demand in certain categories is preserved due to the growth of real incomes of the population. |
