Abstract	The article describes the current situation in the retail credit sector of the Far Eastern Federal District in the first half of 2023 compared to the corresponding period in 2022. The features of the situation and dynamics in certain segments of retail bank lending (loans provided to individuals) in the Russian Far East are shown in comparison with all-Russian trends and dynamics in other federal districts and constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Attention is paid to the analysis of a few factors that determined this situation and the dynamics.
