Abstract It is shown that foreign trade remains the main form of foreign economic cooperation in North-East Asia, but integration agreements between the countries of the subregion create new opportunities for coordinated regional economic development. Prospective directions of expanding the foreign economic interaction of the northeastern provinces of China with the countries of North-East Asia are identified.
