Abstract | From the year 2012, the increase in budget expenditures coupled with the decrease in budget income in the regions of the Russian Far East led to budget deficits, lack of budget sustainability and the rapid increase of reginal government debt. Recently the situation with budget deficits has been improving, but the issue of government debt remains unsolved. The article shows key trends and parameters of consolidated regional budgets in the Russian Far East in 2009–2018, including the structure and dynamics of income and expenses, indicators of deficit and debt burden ratio. The structure and government debt of the Far Eastern regions of Russia are analysed. |
