Abstract The accelerated development of the Russian Far East was declared a national priority in 2013. In various policy documents the Russian Far East development is expected due to the strengthening of its foreign economic relations. The Far East development is entirely driven by external demand, so it’s impossible without taking into account prospects, development trends and needs of Asia Pacific. At present, Russia is almost not involved in regional integration processes, and without a breakthrough in the potential trade and economic isolation of the country and the Far East, its socio-economic development seems vague.
