Abstract | The purpose of this study – is based on the author’s analysis of the current socio-economic situation in the northern Arctic territories of the Far East to identify the possibilities of joint and coordinated improvement of the economic and geostrategic stability of this transboundary macroregion in its further development through interregional cooperation in its branches of specialization in the extraction of mineral resources. The methodological and methodological foundations of the study are based on the tools of spatial economics, infrastructure theory, inversion analysis, and research in the field of Arctic problems and cluster analysis. As a result of the study, the leading problems, disproportions and inversion processes of regional development and possible directions of spatial transformations of the studied territories in the long term are determined. The results of the work consist in identifying the features of the studied problems, which are based on exogenous and endogenous inversion processes in the manifestation of competitive and cooperative relationships mainly in the branches of specialization of the territories under study. As an organizational and managerial mechanism for resolving these inversion contradictions, proposals are substantiated for the formation of an infrastructural and innovative mesocluster that would coordinate the extraction of mineral resources in the macroregion. |
