Abstract	The material was prepared on the basis of the author’s speech at the round table «Sustainable Development in the Context of Economic and Environmental Challenges» within the framework of the international scientific and practical conference held in Bishkek (Kyrgyz Republic), organized by the Kyrgyz National University Named After Jusuph Balasaghyn together with the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States and the Public Fund «Society and Science». The degree of integration of Russia into global production networks and the peculiarities of the involvement of domestic industries in various sectors of the economy are discussed. The current trends in the transformation of global production processes are described, the factors that will influence them in the future are listed.
