Abstract | The article is devoted to the assessment of shifts in the structure of employment of the population of the Republic of Buryatia. The analysis was carried out using the method of shift-components based on the selection of national, regional and sectoral factors that led to the change in the number of employees in the context of economic activities. The information base was the data of Buryatstat and Rosstat from 2000 to 2018. The main reason for the change in the structure of employment in the region was revealed as the presence of unfavorable regional (to a greater degree) and sectoral conditions for development with a positive influence of national factors. The types of economic activities basic for the region, local significance and outside the specialization of the region have been determined, the competitiveness of the types of economic activities has been assessed from the position of employment. |
