Abstract | The article deals with the current assessment of the level of development of the social potential of the population in the Russian regions. The study includes analysis of the current state of social development of the Far East regions; forming, on the basis of the author’s approach of the wealth index and index of social capacity for each far East region using standardized statistical indicators Rosstat; comparison of human development index and well-being index population; grouping of regions by the level of achievement of indices of welfare and social potential. It is shown that the use of a standardized statistical base contributes to the distortion of information about the real characteristics of the social space in the Far East. |
