Abstract The purpose of this article is to identify main features of the territorial organization of economic studies at the Russian Far East. The scientific production outputs and its quality are estimated on the basis of the data of the Scientific Electronic Library (NEB), and also the state of the network of scientific communications is analyzed by studying the publication activity in scientific journals.
